ABOUT US THIS IS JUST A SHORT INTRODUCTION..... We are Carl and Sally Benstead, and we have been showing Rottweilers since 2000. We are a small hobby kennel based in Braintree, Essex. Our Kennel affix 'CARSAL' was granted by the Kennel Club in 2002, and we were among the founder members of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme. We have had great success in the show ring, with our dogs being consistently placed at Championship and Open show level. We are proud that all the dogs we have shown have qualified for Crufts, including several with Stud Book Numbers, a Junior Warrant Winner and a Reserve Challenge Certificate Winner. We are very proud that dogs bred by CARSAL have gone on to provide show successes for their owners by also qualifying for Crufts and winning Stud Book Numbers and Reserve Challenge Certificates. Carl works as a Service Delivery Manager for a Computer Maintenance/Managed Services provider.  Sally is a qualified Veterinary Nurse, now working part time, and has completed several courses on Canine Behaviour.  We have both completed several seminars on the rottweiler, and judging courses and occasionally judge when time permits. We also serve as committee members for the London & South East Rottweiler Club (LASER). We are extremely interested in the future health of the Rottweiler breed, therefore we feel it is of paramount importance that all of our breeding stock is;  HIP,  ELBOW and EYE tested throught the KC/BVA schemes DNA profiled &  Micro-chipped for proof of identity TEMPERAMENT TESTED through a breed club scheme when of an appropiate age. When planning a litter we carefully select the stud dog, often visiting European shows in the search for a dog who compliments our bitch. We have now successfully obtained pet passports for some of our younger dogs to enable us to potentially show them in Europe, also this allows us the opportunity to take our bitches to some of the most influential European Stud dogs.   Our aim is to produce Rottweilers that are sound in Health & Temperament and are of the correct type and conformation.
